It was a sharp sartorial show for DKNY at NYFW, fine-tuned tailoring placing the power with the purse in SS16. A neutral palette of white, black, grey and navy punctuated with screen prints of the respective city’s skyline – buttoned collars, high flying necklines and the humble pin-stripe joining SS16’s pleat as top-note trends.

Continuing their alliance with DKNY was Anaka’s first choice, Wella Professionals. Creative Director and editorial genius Euegene Souleiman met the minimalist brief with matched sophistication – understated, uniform elegance suitable for any woman, any time.

“I love the simplicity of this look. The blend of the deep masculine side-parting at the front and softer, feminine texture through the lengths feels very modern, but it has a classically handsome beauty at the same time,” Eugene said. “It’s the kind of look I imagine Lauren Bacall would wear if she was a young woman today – graphic, powerful and polished,” said Eugene.
